Drost Park Paddle Days

Join us at Drost Park in Maryville, Illinois for 1 hour paddling sessions led by Craig Heaton.  A brief orientation on basic kayaking and safety issues will be given, life vests issued, kayaks selected so participants will be able to experience paddling a kayak on the lake! Two or more safety boats will be on the water to ensure everyone’s safety. Pre-registration is required.

May 20, 2017 - Riverlands Paddle Festival

The MRWTA in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is proud to present the 10th annual Riverlands Paddle Festival! Come out to enjoy a day of paddling and learning about the water trail. For only $5/person, you can try various types of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards. The Association will provide trained paddling instructors, so if you've never paddling before, this is your chance to try it!

Firecracker Race @ Riverlands

​The MRWTA in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host the 3rd annual Firecracker Canoe and Kayak Race on Ellis Bay at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary.  Ellis Bay is just upstream of Mel Price Locks and Dam and is just 20 minutes north of the city of Saint Louis. The race is our version of NASCAR as racers will travel in a loop all within site of spectators along the shoreline. For more information visit the race website http://firecrackerrace.org/
