The 18 mile race route between Grafton, Illinois and the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton, MO will provide a backdrop of majestic bluffs and quaint river towns.  The 10 mile guided social paddle gives attendees the chance to paddle on the Mississippi River from Piasa Creek Boat Ramp to the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton, MO.  The overnight family campout will offer the chance for families to participate in questing, astronomy, fishing, birding and kayaking just a few steps away from the Mississippi River at the National Great Rivers Museum in Alton, IL.  Click here for Family Campout information.

        
  All proceeds from this event will support the Treehouse Wildlife Center.  Treehouse Wildlife Center is in the process of acquiring a new building and moving all their animals.  Treehouse Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of orphaned and injured wildlife with an additional commitment to educating the public about issues relating to wildlife.  They have rescued many birds of prey, pelicans and various wildlife species that have come into harms way on the Mississippi River.
