Directions
The Mississippi River Water Trail begins on the downstream side of Lock 22 in Saverton, Missouri and continues 300 miles downstream to Cairo, Illinois.  Also included is the lower 80 miles of the Illinois River.  All the locations are within 2.5 to 3 hours of St. Louis.

Family Campout

May 19-20, 2012 ~ 4 p.m.
4 p.m. Saturday through 12 p.m. Sunday.  Family of up to four $50, additional people $10 each, must pre-register.  Activities include kayaking and much more....

Riverlands Paddle Festival

May 20, 2012 ~ 11-4 p.m.
Safety day for area rescue personnel from 9-11 a.m.  From 11-4 p.m. canoes and kayaks along with stand up paddle boards will be available.   $5 per person.   Read more.....

Spend the day exploring the great outdoors!  Stomp through the prairie with a GPS to locate hidden caches.  Paddle your way through Riverlands in a kayak or canoe.  Look for signs of the animals who call Riverlands home.  Enjoy a cookout and spend time with other kids.  Be prepared to get wet.  Bring sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle!  Sign up through Lewis and Clark Community College for Kids 618.468.7000

Up a Creek Camp:  For kids 10 and up, July 9, 2012

Spend the day paddling on Piasa Creek.  Students will be taught basic paddling, explore the scenic Piasa Creek, and have lunch together.  Sign up through Lewis and Clark Community College for Kids  618.468.7000
